DA BUTTON PUSHA – Interviews w/ people who inspire me

I have always wanted a way to more formally thank and pay respects to the amazing people in my life who have inspired me, pushed me, collaborated with and supported me. So, I decided to start doing interviews of these powerhouses not only to give my undying gratitude, but hopefully to get the word out about the great things they do so that you might support them too.

I sent out emails and such with questions and plan to continue to contact my people over the next year. I was not at all surprised when Da Button Pusha aka Tha Prezident was the first to respond.  It feels like I grew up with her, although we have probably only known each other for 10 years. We started performing, planning events, and trying to put a feminine spark in the hip hop game in the burgh right around the same time.   We have booked each other on shows many times.  One event she did in particular I always appreciated so much is her Hip Hop Buffet.  She did an all-female addition a few times that connected me with some amazing female artists in Pittsburgh.  She has an incredible drive to to support Pgh artists and now has JPBTV.com which further demonstrates her dedication to artists.   She is not only a talented emcee, host and event planner but she is one of those people that figures out how to do almost anything that is needed and has become an all-around producer, editor and director of video and music. And now she is going to school for business and info tech….grinding!!!!

Not only did Buttons reply first, but she produced a video in less than 24hrs to answer all of my questions instead of writing back……yeah, she is the gogetter’s gogetter…doesn’t waste anytime, and always does things to the max.  So dope!

So here it is, and thank you buttons for being you.  I love you always!
PEACE

Here is another video where Da Button Pusha jumps in an interview with Front Row Monthly to give me love.

Her support has kept me going, more than once.
