Owl Time! – Enter the Owl Tribe (Fan Community)

So, several of my fans have asked how to be Owls or be in a “fan club”, and they want to show support in that way.  I am taking this a step further.  I consider you part of my Tribe or family.  If it were not for you, I would NOT record and distribute my music.

I am sourced by your love and appreciation of the music/message and it means more than any of you could know. Your letters, tweets, emails, etc. keep me going.  Some fans started a site for the Owl Tribe that is under construction and will be released soon to create a community.  But, I don’t want to wait to begin to unify and have a better way to connect with you than on Facebook and Twitter.   So, below you will find a place to put your email address so that you will be informed when they launch the site and also get exclusive goodies. You may be wondering where the idea of Owls, Owl time, Nakturnal, etc. came from. Well, my marketing and events company is called Nakturnal, so there is that obvious relationship as me and my girls have been trying to “Create an Awakening” since 2005 at Nak.  And, no, its not based on some illuminati stuff or only for women.  (Its kinda funny when folks think I am part of the “illuminati”, my guess is they aren’t listening/reading the lyrics, assume I’m a rich white mans daughter, or aren’t don’t know my history. But no hard feelings at all, I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist myself and can see where this assumption comes from.

Also, I have a soul brother known as Octeel who does all sorts of a amazing artwork for me and specializes in owl drawings like the first one on this post.  He will be creating some special Owls for us in the future.   Check out his sick neck tat of an owl! He is a tattoo artist so if u r in pgh, visit him at Drawing Room.  See him do my wrist tat to the right in this video.

But, most importantly, the owl for me is all about the medicine of the owl.  All animals have special messages or “medicine” for us to learn from. If there is a particular animal(s) you love for example, it is likely if you researched the indigenous meanings given to that animal or derived from that animal, you will find it is a “power animal” for you.

Well, the owl has always been one of my power animals and I think is a great image for the community I’m a part of, aka you.  ”Owl medicine is a feminine trait (within men and women!) and is symbolically associated with clairvoyance, astral projection, and magic. And as far as the Tribe, in Owl Tribe, well, like I said, without you I am nothing.  In Peaceburgh (aka Pittsburgh ) this term has been growing.  In a tribe, every person plays a role and is important. This is how I see everyone – no matter what you think about yourself.  I struggled so much trying to figure out my purpose, to believe in myself and I felt like I was lost at times and have to remind myself even now of who I am.  When you clear the mental chatter and realize those voices inside are not you, or that divine awesome being that you really are, it is easy to see that EVERY person has incredible, inherent and precious value.  I am not some leader of some group or club, we are a tribe, all equal – all one.  And by oneness, I don’t mean sameness – we are all different in the most beautiful ways.

As an OWL you will hear about it first and get the opportunities first for things related to merch, shows, tickets and more.  I will send you lyrics, songs, etc. in advance for feedback if you wish and I plan to always give Owls my music free.  All I really need in return is continued support.  If you can pass on my stuff to your friends through your Twitters, Facebooks, etc – that is rad.  You guys are so awesome and most of you do this already. AGAIN – undying gratitude!  Most of all, I want to let this be a place where you can find support for the amazing art, projects and ideas you may have that would be of interest to other like-minded Owls.

I can’t wait to have all of the OWLs to flock together and get this Nakturnal movement making history.   It’s OWL time!
