Peaceburgh March 2012 Events!

Have you have heard about Peaceburgh yet? Nakyouout.com wrote about the New Years event we did.  It was a huge success and I am so excited about all the young people that are involved.

For a long time I  have been part of these somewhat political, spiritually focused groups that are all about studying consciousness, enlightening practices, indigenous prophecy/wisdom/ceremony, yoga, sound healing, activism and so much more.  All of these gatherings and events really have something for everyone, but it seemed like I was always one of only a few young people consistently there.

Suddenly, like I had always dreamed, it has exploded and there is a large force of 18-30 year olds behind everything now, many of whom have been at it well before I was aware of them – a small group of the amazing folks in the pic to the right for example.  We call it the “Young Tribe” for fun and the community at large has several events coming up.  I wrote about this before the event on Nakyoutout.com in our Iron City Sound Ambassador picks for February.   The event is over but, it was incredible.  I  ended up singing/rapping impromtu with about 20 drummers…it was rad!

If you missed the artist showcase, be sure to attend the Peaceburgh Spring Social which will be held on Sunday afternoon March 25, 2012 at Le Brew House Restaurant & Tarverne on 2512 E. Carson Street South Side. $5 entry gives you full access to all lectures, vendors, activities & a shot of wheatgrass juice! There is an extra healthy buffet plus full cash bar including adult beverages as well as vegetable juices & fruit smoothies. Lectures start at 1pm with, What is Peaceburgh? by Sven Hosford, Nobody Wears Orange by Tamar George at 2pm (color therapy), 3pm AGH Integrated Medicine by Dr. Betsy Blazek-O’neill, & The Exquisite Zodiac by Rick Diclemente at 4pm.  Rick is my astrologer and his book will be for sale at the event! So excited!   Starting at 6pm there will be musical performances by Lisa Ferraro, Phil Osophical, & more. Plus YOU in a drum & music circle. Bring your instruments or your hands or your voice or just a willingness to listen!  I will be speaking again as I did at the artist showcase about the Transformation Alliance Peaceburgh (T.A.P) with my mentor Vikki Hanchin, who inspired an international buzz regarding the links Pittsburgh has with the Mayan Prophecy! I HOPE TO SEE YINZ THERE!

Much love!
