There are many theories about waist-hip ratio and why this physical feature is deemed so attractive in females. Numerous studies have asked participants to rate female bodies on attractiveness, in which they've identified a low WHR as attractive. Why is this? The reason is not sexual, in fact a low WHR correlates well with cardiovascular health and longevity whereas a high WHR puts women at a greater risk for diabetes and even cancer.
